An eternity ring is something that signifies a strong bond. This may be for friendship or an intimate relationship. It is a sort of a ritual that has been practiced for roughly four thousand years ago.

In the early times, rings are given to people whom you feel bound to by love or by friendship. It signifies an endless love to someone close to your heart. This is not so much different from the current situation. People still give rings to those that they hold dear.

Rings are also exchanged to commemorate certain events in people’ lives. One such occasion is graduation. This can also be the last day that you would see your high school or college friends. This practice of exchanging eternity rings with close friends still exists today although it is solely confined to ladies rather than gentlemen.

Another occasion where giving an eternity ring is important would be during a proposal for marriage. Engagements rings are something that women are really proud of. Usually, men are the givers of the rings, while women are the recipients. Specifically, it is because men are the ones asking for the hand of women for marriage. However, women also have the option to give their men a ring as a gift, being engaged and all.

Parents and children exchange eternity rings whenever there is a need for a member of the family to go somewhere else, like going abroad perhaps. These are instances when they won’t be able to see each other a long time. Although the bond between parent and child is not easily broken, the exchange of rings enhances this attachment.

As you’ve probably noticed in recent years, the mega-marts are now offering inexpensive tuxedos (including shirt and tie) for sale in about the same price range as a good pair of jeans and a sweatshirt — often less than $100.

It’s certainly a very convenient method, but can buying a cheap tuxedo this way really be worth it? How can you decide?

The first factor to evaluate is how often you believe you will be attending a function or venue which will either require you to or at which you would desire to wear a tuxedo. Clearly if you only need it for a limited occasion like a single wedding or funeral than an inexpensive tuxedo may be appropriate. Purchasing a $1000 custom make one makes no sense for such a limited use.

In addition, if your financial budget is limited, purchasing an expensive designer or custom made tuxedo is also a consideration for purchasing an inexpensive version. The situation is different, however, if you will often be attending functions requiring a tuxedo.

Keep in mind that the fabric and wear of an inexpensive tuxedo will never match that of a custom designed version. A similar effect is true of business suits. If you purchase an inexpensive suit it will crease and wrinkle more easily than an expensive suit of better quality.

Less expensive fabrics used in cheap tuxedos simply aren’t crease resistant. After several hours of wear, it’s going to look sloppy and will probably require frequent cleaning to keep it looking presentable.

In addition, as with any lower quality fabric and clothing, the tuxedo will likely not last over time and can look worn out quite quickly. These types of produces are not custom made and as a result often the seams are the first to fail causing stitching to become frayed, buttons to loosen or fall off.

Then of course, is the question of color. You are limited to Black or Charcoal Grey. Whilst this may be fine for business, not so for some social gatherings (except the previously mentioned weddings and funerals).

With a custom tuxedo, you have the benefit of an expert tailor to measure you and cut the fabric to size. Without a custom made tuxedo, off the rack inexpensive versions may not fit you well. You should not expect any inexpensive tuxedo purchased off the rack to look, feel or fit in any similar way to a custom version. It all comes down to your own personal needs and financial condition as to whether it is more cost effective and efficient to purchase an inexpensive tuxedo or have a custom one made for you.

You wear the same work clothes every day of the week. From coveralls to suits, they all constitute “work” clothes. But on Sundays many men put on their best tuxedo and attend church. Wearing your Sunday Best is a long-standing and respected tradition that continues to be accepted today.

Your best Sunday Church clothes would be your most stylish tuxedo accompanied by the correct shirt, tie and shoes. By correct we mean formal, because even though Sunday’s at Church is considered a social affair with families all attending, there is a formal shaking of the priest’s hand after the service.

Some people wear a hat with their tuxedo. That is certainly acceptable, however, make sure it is appropriate for the color and style of your tuxedo and in keeping with a formal setting. In addition, be considerate of those around you and remove it during the services if the hat is large and blocks the view or interferes with the other parishioners behind or around you.

Make sure that you wear a light or muted color shirt. A bright shirt will only be a distraction. This applies to children as well but, as a result of a more relaxed atmosphere, they me be allowed to wear their collars open now.

It is possible to look formal and appropriate in your tuxedo without a tie even if you are an adult. Whether you wear a tie or other neckpiece is up to you. You should take into consideration your church’s view on such matters to make sure you are comfortable and the priest is accepting of the style.

Shoes come in many styles and colors. Nevertheless it is one accessory for which you must avoid anything other than traditional black. Otherwise, even though the church might be accepting of the overall look, frankly good taste and appropriate wear demands such a look.

Of course, if you are wearing a light-hued tuxedo, you should wear light shoes to go with it. It may be Sunday, but it’s still important to take the time to look formal and polished.

Finally, although you may own lots of nice large gold, silver or other pieces of jewelry, forgo large rings, necklaces and bracelets at church. It is not the place for such showy items. Tuck any necklaces inside the color of your shirt and keep the other big items at home until church is concluded for the day. Otherwise, these pieces can be not only visually distracting but also loud if they bang and clang together throughout the service.

The Seiko Kinetic Scubamaster is not the most expensive watch I own, but it is probably the rarest and most unique. In fact, I think it comes pretty close to being the ultimate diver watch. It is feature rich, extremely tough, very accurate, and has a bold, distinguished look. Here’s a feature-by-feature breakdown:

Lots of titanium. First of all, most of the watch is a titanium alloy. Titanium isn’t particularly scratch-resistant, but it is very tough and very light. The case is a single solid piece of titanium (which can only be opened from the front), and has its signature stingray engraved in the back. The bracelet is titanium, as well, and is extremely solid and strong.

Sapphire crystal. The Scubamaster’s crystal is highly scratch-resistant synthetic sapphire which is set down below the bezel for extra protection.

This model comes in a choice of dial colors (blue, black, orange, silver, and yellow), and is outfitted with a mineral crystal. Something that sets the Abyss apart from the other extreme divers is the day of the week in additional to the date. Like all the extreme divers, the case of the Abyss is filled with silicone oil to keep the pressure equalized, and it has a very prominent air bubble which will undoubtedly draw bewildered looks and plenty of questions from perfect strangers.

Bell & Ross has a beauty of a diver called the Hydromax which they claim (and back up with details) will withstand a depth of 11,100 meters, or about 36,500 feet. While not the most extreme of the extreme divers, that still makes it capable of reaching the bottom of Challenger Trench, one of the deepest known points in the ocean. There is, as you might expect, some impressive engineering going on in this timepiece.

In additional to an oil-filled case, the caseback of the watch has a rubber button which helps accommodate the changing properties of the oil under extreme temperatures and depths. The button can become convex or concave as the oil expands or contracts. While I will concede that a $2,400 watch that can go as deep as one of the deepest points in the ocean may be a little overkill, the watch is more of a proof of concept and a brand statement for Bell & Ross professional watches.

Next up is the MTM Black Seal (read the full review here). This one is defiantly worth a few minutes of your time. With an oil-filled case, the MTM Black Seal claims to be completely waterproof to 12,000 meters (39,000 feet), and even adds some interesting features like a high-end Swiss quartz movement, a sapphire crystal (much harder then the mineral crystal found on the Abyss), and Tritium-filled glass tubes on all the markers. Tritium gas is electro-phosphorescent meaning it glows all the time, and the tubes have enough gas to glow for 25 years. This is far more useful then luminous paint because it glows brightly and constantly without the need to charge from ambient light. At $1,800, the Black Seal is a serious watch with a serious look and a very comprehensive set of features.

And then there’s the crown. The crown is big and textured to make it easy to grasp, and the threading of the crown and stem is precise which makes it very easy to release and reseal. This may seem like a given, but I’ve handled enough watches with difficult to manage screwdown crowns that I really appreciate when it’s done right.
