Best Charms for Women’s Croc Shoes

May 27th, 2009 by Matthew Gio

by Matthew Gio

No matter what the occasion, you are sure to find a pair of Croc shoes to suit. Sometimes though, a little extra flair is needed or desired, and for these occasions, consider using Jibbitz to accessorize your Crocs. These tiny rubber pieces pop in and out of the Croc’s ventilation ports, and there are many different designs that women will enjoy. One such design is actually a four piece set available in the beach item category. It comes with a pair of little pink flip flops, two palm trees, and an artistic sun. This set is great for any time you plan to be having fun outside, but because of the bright colors, it tends to go best with brightly colored Crocs shoes. If you want your Jibbitz to speak for a cause, consider the pink awareness ribbon. This ribbon promotes breast cancer awareness and is available in the fashion accessories category.

If you happen to be a small dog fan, check out the Maltese Jibbitz in the animals/cats and dogs section. This tiny white dog has a face that you will fall in love with, and the demure coloring allows it to match a wide variety of Croc shoe colors. Three colors of Labradors-chocolate, black, and tan-are available in this category as well, if you tend to prefer larger breed dogs. If you want to continue the beach theme from the four piece set mentioned above, look up the seahorse in the animals/fish category. It comes in several different colors, all of which are perfect for summer. For something purely fun, find the animals/amphibians section and choose the frog. This Jibbitz looks like a cartoon, with big eyes and a bright green color, and if you have kids they will probably enjoy seeing it on your shoe.

Croc shoes are tailor made for gardening, and gardeners have a couple of good Jibbitz options as well. The sunflower, in the flower section, is a brightly colored ambassador of summer warmth and fall glow. Its vibrant color helps it to blend best with Croc shoes that carry a warmer tone. For cooler toned Croc shoes, look for the daisy. The daisy’s unassuming elegance is the perfect compliment for all colors of Croc shoes, and it can easily be worn year around.

Jibbitz found in the Gems category will add a little sparkle wherever you go. Gems come in assorted colors, including the popular diamond color as well as fuchsia and blue, and you can choose between heart-shaped or round gems. Finally, in the symbols and shapes category, choose the “mom heart” to help your mom feel extra special. The mom heart is red and puffy, with a banner floating across with the word “mom.” For more information or to order some of these Jibbitz, just stop by the Croc shoes website any time.

A Classic Suit: The Double Breasted Style

May 27th, 2009 by Victor M. Santerino

by Victor M. Santerino

When selecting men’s suits, buyers must choose between a single or double-breasted jacket. As its name implies, a single-breasted jacket will only have one row of buttons used to close the jacket in front. A double-breasted blazer, however, will have a very wide, overlapping front lapel and two rows of buttons. One row is decorative; the other is used to fasten the jacket.

Double-breasted suits were at the hight of fashion in the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s. Nowadays however, it is the single breasted suit which accounts for 95% of sales worldwide yet there are still some who consider the double breasted suit to be a timeless classic.

The double breasted suit’s relegation to the back burner can be attributed to the popularity of the modern designer suit. Most office people, especially the young, are drawn to sporting these trendy modern suits. But the reason behind this may be because they lack the knowledge on how to actually pull off a double breasted suit.

More than just classic, the double-breasted suit has many advantages over its single-breasted counterpart. A double-breasted suit can be very forgiving to the man who wants to hide a too-large waist, or exaggerate his shoulders - this suit does both. There are some men who should steer clear of the double-breasted suit - if you are small or very short, this suit is not for you. Otherwise, a double-breasted suit, even off the rack, will enhance your looks, and when made to measure, this suit makes an incredible statement about the man wearing it.

Humphrey Bogart gave us some of our best views of the double-breasted suit - turn on the classic movies and see how tailored and sharp he looks in any one of his films. It’s the suit! Sadly, the double-breasted suit may be considered part of a bygone era, even though there are some who will always consider it the only choice.

The style will always look fashionable throughout the winter months and even spring. The fabric of choice is more often than not wool and the most popular colors are Navy blue and black.

Once the only type of suit worn businessmen, these days fewer and fewer are spotted in the office environment. Of these, the pinstripe double-breasted suit is probably the most popular.

If you plan to invest in a double-breasted suit, keep in mind that trouser selection is a key element to how this jacket will wear. The blazer will appear too “heavy” if not worn with trousers that have both a large cuff at the ankle, and pleats at the waist. Be sure that you are dealing with a reputable bespoke (or custom) tailor, as this is the person who can best advise you as to which trousers complete the classic look of your double-breasted jacket.

How To Look Fabulous On A Low Budget

May 27th, 2009 by Henry Okpolokpo

by Ein Kome

Accessories can mean the dissimilarity between having a finished look and just looking like you got dressed. Womens scarves are a number on accessory; they are adaptable and can easily change a look from drab to finished as well as change the entire feel of a plain black suit and white blouse. In fact, scarves give you a choice of looks from the same outfit.

Neck scarves add color and exclusivity or may be a way to show case jewelry. The smart woman buys a small selection of satisfactory suits for business, a simple black or white evening dress and a few shells. She gains a massive wardrobe by using different types of scarves in different materials, colors and uses tricks to tie the scarves to make a new look from the same scarf.

Perhaps the best way to achieve different looks is through the use of different materials. You will have quite a selection of materials to choose from when selecting your scarves. Scarves come in satin, chiffon, wool, cotton, cashmere, silk, velvet, synthetic and any blend or combination thereof. Each material has something different to offer each outfit you wear it with.

Neck scarves also vary with color and motif, some will include embroidered designs, and hand decorated fabric, bright colors, subtle colors, beads and combinations of all of the above. A red silk scarf can add power to a business suit. A red scarf will accent nicely a plain white blouse with a black or grey suit. The color of scarf you choose will make a statement about your personality. Do you want to have a nice romantic evening? Add a pretty pink chiffon womens scarf to a simple cocktail dress to change the whole feel of the outfit.

Bring versatility to your wardrobe with the length and shape of the various neck scarves you own. A short scarf is very limited in the number of ways you can tie them, however a large one can be used in place of a shoulder covering or shawl. They can even be used as a head covering if the situation demands. There are several methods for tying scarves and each one can give you a different look.

Create a wonderful accessory to any outfit by tying the scarf in a loose necktie, similar to a mans or manipulate the scarf into an ascot look. Scarves can give you a turtleneck look, or a cowl neckline. Wrap your colorful scarf several times then in the front tie it and thread one end through the loop for another type of look.

Think that the only place you can use a womens neck scarf is around the neck? Think again, they make wonderful accessories for all parts of your outfit. Weave one around the handles of your evening bag, or wrap it at the hip for quite another look. Want to be a little flirty, try creating an off the shoulder look by draping your scarf loosely. If you tire of all that you can also use it as a wonderful display for your favorite piece of jewelry.

The one reason scarves are making a comeback is that they are so darned affordable. They come in a wide price range and very few are outside the normal budget. They are super easy to store as they take up little room, imagine expanding your wardrobe with a small drawer of scarves! The range in designs is so vast you will find dozens that fit your taste and style. Once you have figured out how valuable this asset can be you will learn all sorts of new ways to tie the scarves and accessorize your wardrobe.

Plus Size Coats Can Still Look Fashionable

May 27th, 2009 by Sandra Bowerman

by Sandra Bowerman

If you’re a plus size woman you might have a hard time finding coats that fit. Most coats are designed for average size women. You’ll also discover that the best coats will cost more than any other piece of clothing that you own. Therefore, it’s very important that you take enough time to find a coat with the best look.

A lot of women make the mistake of only thinking about their dress or skirt when putting together an outfit. However, it’s important to keep in mind that the majoriy of people are going to see you with a coat on. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to throw on whatever shabby coat you have in the closet at the last minute.

There’s a number of factors you’ll want to take into consideration when shopping for your new coat. First, what occasion will it be used for? Obvoiusly you’ll need a different coat for making trips to the grocery store than attending a business luncheon or a night out with the girls. Also, looks are important but the coat should also keep you warm if you live in cold climate.

If you’re a plus size woman it’s probably a good idea to avoid certain types of coats like funnel necks and trench coats. You’ll recognize funnel neck coats because they will have large collars and will emphasize the look of a double-chin when zipped. Even if the coat is left unzipped it will add more padding where you don’t need it. Trench coats also just hang down straight and simply aren’t flattering for many different body shapes including plus size women.

The best coats for plus size women are those that create a tight waistline and an open chest. Look for coats that make your neck look longer and slim your torso. Frock coats are popular because they make the waist seem narrow even when unbuttoned or untied. However, it’s usually best to avoid plus size coats with belts, as they can make your stomach look even larger.

Remember, you want to put a little thought and consideration into the purchase of your plus size coat. You don’t wait your coat or jacket to look like an after thought. As long as you look for a coat that accentuates all your best features you should be fine. If you have any additional questions there are many websites online that can give you advice.

Types of Men’s Hats

May 26th, 2009 by Mirov Tsetsegel

by Mirov Tsetsegel

When you first set out to buy a hat , you’ve got to consider the kind of message your hat will say to others. And make no mistake, hats do have a language all of their own. If you know what they’re saying or what they’re saying about you, you’ll enjoy a life full of compliments and attaboys, just because you decided to don a hat. Sometimes the hats shout from the treetops; sometimes they’re a subtle murmur; and others, is just plain old “blech!”

When you want to shout classy, the Fedora is what you want to buy. To the very few in the West who do not know what a Fedora is, think Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant, Gary Cooper, or Jimmy Stewart. Think gangsters of the 1920s. Think black and white movies. You see Fedoras in all of the black and white motion pictures. It’s classy because it’s a cut above the rest.

Men wore these stylish hats with their everyday suits and there was a great demand for them. They wore Fedoras to the baseball games and racetrack alike. Fedoras get noticed at most events.

If you’re in the American South and Southwest, cowboy hats won’t surprise. There are entire stores that sell cowboy hats (and the accompanying boots) so I won’t dwell on the point. Cowboy hats in anywhere but the South and Southwest will certainly qualify you to be called Cowboy, John Wayne, or Tex. But the hats do ooze a style of their own.

Next is the beret. Now I personally would never wear a beret again. I say again because I wore them when I was in the Boy Scouts. Berets were just hitting the Scouting scene and I believe they’ve all but gone the way of the dodo bird in the Scouting field, as they say. Also, berets were especially made popular in the 1960s because of the people wearing them, the Green Berets, that elite Special Operations Forces of the United States Army.

However, berets over the last thirty-plus years artists and jazz musicians and poets wandered onto the beret scene and now embrace it wholeheartedly. Now it’s the way berets are perceived. Women have also started to wear berets as a fashion statement. Berets work well for them and it speaks volumes about their choices.

The final significant type of men’s hats to consider is the the ivy golf cap or the St. Andrews-style cap. Golfers in the 50s and 60s wore them, and very few golfers wear them today. Most golfers back then wore traditional golfers caps. This style of hat is slightly above the baseball caps (in style and pizazz) that are everywhere, but they also speak of a stylishness.

It’s easy to go with the flow and purchase a standard baseball-style cap. You see it in Nascar, golf, baseball, and even football when the team has won a championship; they’re all in baseball caps with the logo of the championship on it. Now, if they all had Stetsons or Fedoras with the logo on, I’d be impressed.

Cool Tips for Ladies Summer Jewelry

May 26th, 2009 by Jane Anani

by Jane Anani

‘It’s the little things in life that end up the most important’, well, sounds like they could have meant ladies jewelry?

Summertime is all about getting closer to nature, escaping from the urban scene occasionally. But even if you can’t escape your urban home you can still get the ‘nature feel’. That’s what ladies jewellery can help you achieve. Maybe it’s a basic instinct. Have you ever noticed that once the weather changes and the heat of the sun starts to tease our bodies we seem to be drawn to the ‘going native’ and ‘tribal’ cultural ways. We are all far more outgoing, gregarious and group orientated. Therefore as we place various items of clothing into the cupboards and drawers until autumn appears, it is necessary to start thinking about this less clothes summer culture.

Necklaces, bangles, leather bracelets, pendants, charms - what we used to wear before someone started making us wear clothing! Ladies jewelry has everything you need to look fantastic this summer. Stainless steel jewelry, sterling silver, leather, beads, stones - how more ethnic can you get? Look for designer style with engraving options should you want something slightly more personal. When we wear less clothing it is obviously that much harder for us to look different from each other, so we need to use a bit more imagination regarding ladies jewelry to stand out from the crowd.

Take a note of your present skin color, what’s going to work best, leather, silver, beads, stones, which colors? Short hair, long hair, what color eyes, what’s going to accentuate your best facial and physical features. Don’t follow rules, try doing some different things with jewelry items, they don’t have to always be worn where they’re made for. E.g. bangle or bracelet around ankles, necklace around wrist, charms and pendants can hang from anywhere or anything.

Take a chance; take a trip on the wild side. It’s sometimes interesting to see how others see you. If you have a friend (boy or girl) ask them for advice and tell you what they think would look best on you? People don’t always see you the same way as you see yourself. If their answer takes you by surprise, maybe you need to think about how you appear to others. Is that the appearance you want?

Whatever you decide that you want to be this summer, find something fresh and exciting that will help you to get your message across. Summer is not the time to be conservative, it’s all about opening up, taking gambles, exposing your real self, let ladies jewellery help you make some waves this summer. Do remember ‘It’s the little things that make the difference’.

Where To Buy Jewelry

May 26th, 2009 by Chris Edwards

by Chris Edwards

It used to be that walking into a jewelry store made you feel totally intimidated and at a disadvantage. After all, the jeweler had all the facts and figures about the real value of the expensive pieces of jewelry on display - and you the customer should feel privileged that they would spend time sharing some of that information with you. In other words, without their expert knowledge you didn’t have the necessary facts to make an informed decision on your purchase.

The jeweler was in a very unique position - not only was he the one with all the important information on value for money pieces, he was the only retail outlet for the supply of jewelry. Yes there was competition from other jewelry retailers but this was mostly focused on the atmosphere within the store and the individuality of the pieces rather than on the price. When it came to trying to negotiate a price reduction the customer found it virtually unlikely, even though the profit margins for the jeweler could be more than 50% on the retail price.

All this was before the advent of the Internet which changed the way the consumer shopped - not just for jewelry but for lots of other items as well. It did not take long for competition to increase. Because Internet businesses had lower costs they could afford to offer their products at a lower price. Not only that but the customer was now able to do thorough research before committing to buying anything without being subjected to any high pressure selling.

All of a sudden, customers were not quite so easy to control! Many of them now came into the jewelers store already informed about technical aspects such as carat weights, diamond colors and independent appraisals. They demanded shorter delivery times and lower prices and would compare these with other Mall and online stores to make sure they got the best deal.

The traditional jeweler was confronted by an enormous change to the way business was done. He would prefer to run his business as usual - buy highly profitable pieces of jewelry and display them to advantage in the store, greet the customer as they entered the shop and provide advice and support in their purchase.

These online jewelers turned the traditional jewelry business on its head. Much more customer focused, the new online stores were prepared to offer customer the information he needed to make a decision as well as matching products to the customer’s needs. They used this approach to attract customers to this new way of doing business. Because of their lower overheads they were also able to compete on prices offering customers a good deal.

Market competition due to the development and advancement of the Internet has met the customers needs. The jewelry buyer is much more informed and so able to demand a better deal because of this way of doing business.

Add Extra Storage Quickly And Easily With Closet Organizers

May 26th, 2009 by Crystal A Owens

by Crystal A Owens

For many of us, a constant problem within the home is storage - or more particularly; lack thereof. With most homes relying on the reach-in closet design, it is easy for a mess to quickly develop. With the just as quick and easy addition of closet organizers, however, extra storage and an instant sense of order can be achieved.

Closet organizers are carefully designed units which incorporate hanging rods, shelving systems and storage bins. Coming in many designs, styles and with different innovations, they really help compartmentalize the space. This not only allows you to find your belongings and store things more carefully, but to also create further space - which can only mean a shopping trip to fill it, of course!

There are many good quality organizers available. Some excellent products can be found ready assembled at all good home improvement stores. There are large and good quality ranges available from established designers. Or, if on a tighter budget the store’s own brand will be more than suitable.

Whichever you select, it will most likely be a home assembly unit. There are preassembled versions available, but these can be more expensive, for a lesser product. They can also be less easy to fit than first thought, having to most likely be altered to fit the intended space.

Prices can start from just below $100, and go up from there. In store, home assembly products will generally not go much above $450, though some more bespoke designs are available from some retailers, so the budget could go considerably if a particular look is required.

If you intend to pick up your closet organizer from the store yourself, it is vital you have a suitable vehicle. It may be necessary to hire a pick-up or small truck, depending on how big the packaging is. Be sure to check these dimensions with the store. If you are unwilling to do this however, most stores should offer a home delivery service at little or no extra cost.

If you purchase one of the self-assembly closet organizers, you may prefer to have it installed by a professional. Again, this is a service that should be offered by the retailer. Some will also provide this free of service, but this is less likely. However, if you are having the product delivered, you may be able to negotiate a deal. Alternatively, a friend or local handyperson could help of course. With very few tools needs to complete the job, it should be achievable in just half a day for most.
