DKNY is one of the worlds most famous clothing lines. DKNY has been around since the late 80s and has been rocking the fashion world ever since. DKNY has many different styles which offer people many different looks. DKNY was started by New York’s own Donna Karan. She was born in October 2, 1948. As a youth she had a part time job selling clothes in a neighborhood boutique. After gaining an interest in fashion and clothes designing she enrolled in Parsons School of Design. Afterwards she started working with designer Anne Klein. After a short time with Anne Klein Donna became head of the design team. In 1985 Donna decided to branch off and establish her own name in the fashion industry and started her own labels. She first started the Donna Karan Collection and in 1988 she started the infamous DKNY (Donna Karan New York).
