Kid slippers can be a challenge for parents to pick the perfect pair of children’s footwear.There are so many different colors, styles, and brands to choose from that we often forget that the primary concern should always be child safety. We need to remember, when shopping for child’s slippers, to find ones that won’t cause them to slip and fall.

Children run around, skipping and jumping and simply being children. Because of this their footwear needs to be able to keep up with them. Pay attention the soles of kid’s slippers and look for those with non-skid soles to help prevent falls, and avoid children’s footwear with laces that may come untied and trip your child. When buying children’s slippers we need to be aware of all the little details for the safety of our children.

If you are buying kid’s slippers for a younger child, remember to look at the small pieces such as bells, ribbons and other decorations that might be on the shoes. Small children can find these little sequins, buttons and googly eyes attractive, but they also come off easily and may be mistaken for candy.

When you go out to buy children’s footwear for a very young child, remember to not buy ones with many small pieces that can come off easily or even cause your child to slip.

When looking to buy slippers for an older child, consider or ask if they have a younger sibling in the house.

Remember, too, that kid’s slippers will get dirty. Look for slippers that have durable material that is easy to wash, or slippers that label themselves as machine washable.

There are many different types that you may choose from. One of the most popular types are the ones that look like animals. There is also kids footwear that reflect cartoon characters that children love, those that incorporate patterns and designs, and those that are solid in color. You will find that there are many options when it comes to choosing children’s slippers that can be washed over and over again.

Keep an eye on sizes when buying kid’s slippers. Different brands will fit your child differently so it’s important to pick the right size. Kids footwear that’s too large will fall off a child’s foot or cause a child to trip and fall. On the other hand, slippers that are too small might pinch your child’s foot.

When sizing a shoe, put them on your child’s feet and have them stand up. Press gently on the toe area and if there is more than a finger’s width of space between the tip of the slipper and your child’s toe, then the shoe is too big. With these tips, and a little common sense, you should be able to find the perfect children’s slipper for your child.
