Make me a diaper bag that doesn’t make me look like Im wearing a purse, is the cry that dads have been silently screaming all these years. I can remember it like it was yesterday. I was out alone with the kids and off to the amusement park. Mom was out of town so I was on my own. TJ Maxx is one of my wife’s favorite past time. What happens is that major brands often manufacture too many pieces of clothes and TJ Maxx would buy the leftovers in bulk at a really cheap price and then resell it to us at a good price. The savings are actually very good if you don’t mind waiting a bit for the latest model to be sold.

Nordstorm is an awesome department store. The stuff there are pretty high end but not outrages like other stores. What’s funny though is that depending on where the department store is located in, the merchandise that’s for sale is different. This is to get more sales depending on the demographics of course, so pretty smart move there.

Target tries to be Walmart without the “inexpensive” look. What’s interesting is that sometimes, Target’s prices are actually the cheapest around. If you don’t want a huge lineup and still want to buy something very inexpensive, Target is your store.

Robinson’s May, for a long time, was the queen of everyday people department store. In fact, my boss used to buy us a $100 gift certificate every Christmas. It’s funny because our secret santa were filled with gifts that could be purchased from the department store. In 2006 though, times were bad and the once popular department stores were bought out by Macy’s, with most of its stores transformed as well.

Sears doesn’t really specialize in anything but it sells many power tools and home appliances. In fact, they have this blue crew thing that will help you install and maintain your home appliances. It’s really neat and if you are looking to buy a fridge or a washer and dryer, give them serious consideration.

Bloomingdales is very nice, with shops like Nespresso, Louis Vuitton specialty stores within the building. The color tone is black and white, which brings a sleek and luxury look to the surroundings. Once you step in, you will know what I’m talking about.

Walmart is the granddaddy of discount retailers. The prices are so good that for years, they’ve been killing the mom and pop stores because they have more variety with cheaper prices. Sure, they are always in the news for low labor rates and all that but if it means saving you money, aren’t you still going to buy there?

JC Penny is actually very nice because there are huge savings every time you go there. Like many other department store, it often have promotions and those are really great. This everybody department store is always on my radar when I go shopping. A must see.

Need the combination of strength and lightweight properties? Titanium is the answer. That is why the metal is favored in automotive applications. Especially in racing such as motorcycle or boating. Its generally used in high end applications since it can be cost prohibitive.
